Carpe Diem

Don't regret something that you enjoyed.

As Rose and I had a grand Le Meridien dinner, with acoustic jazz and a high class atmosphere, I told her I regretted eating so much bread beforehand, before the main course arrived. I was hungry, and the bread was yummy and crunchy. It was nothing compared to the main meal of course, but I did savour it. Rose simply mused, 'Don't regret something you enjoyed. You wanted it at that moment. You enjoyed it. Same goes for relationships.'

With a simple adjustment to this mindset, now it is really possible to enjoy every moment. Because you could never regret having reached out for something you wanted.

And thus, carpe diem. Let's live without regrets. Let's live with gratitude and find that relaxation and acceptance for all things good in life.
